I read an article recently in the New York Times which leads me to believe that there is light at the end of the anti-obesity tunnel- albeit a very small, dim light. But, the light is there nevertheless. . . . more

    Jesus is my best friend. I like talking to Him and I enjoy introducing people to Him. I am very active in my church where I serve as Missions Director and Sunday School teacher for ages 6-10. I have enjoyed the times I worked in foreign missions and would love to have more opportunities in the future. I love my husband and the life we have together. I'm not a very complicated person to understand. I'm pretty much the what you see is what you get type of person.

    like minded people to discuss our beliefs. People of differing beliefs who are open enough to hear what I have to say without bashing me for what I believe. I would also like to discuss history and historical issues.

    Just checked your profile to see if you're Jamaican. Nice historical articles. Left out a lot of important details. One example is: The Morant Bay rebellion actually started out as a peaceful protest that just went bad because of Governor Eyre. George William Gordon was tried, found guilty and executed by hanging even though he clearly had nothing to do with the protest action.

    The mass grave that the hanged rioters were buried in has been discovered and looted by an Englishman pretending to be an archeologist. The site had not been properly protected and many if not most of the skeletons were washed out to sea.

    The Jamaica National Heritage Trust now needs funds to preserve the remaining graves ant to erect a proper monument to these men.
